Modern Rolex Submariner Black Dial

Rolex has always been an innovator. While it wasn’t the first luxury watch company to develop diving watches, many would say it was the first brand to perfect diving watches. The first submarines to come to market in the 1950s featured a simple gold-plated dial topped with a pencil-shaped pointer that read “Rolex oyster Submariner forever. “Now the iconic Mercedes hand is coming soon. Next, the dial was added with a depth rating and “officially certified chronometer” text, which increased the depth rating from 100 meters to 200 meters, as reflected in the updated text on the dial indicating greater water resistance.
